The PFC-free finishing technology is based on renewable resources and mimics the protective plant cuticle that repels morning dew drops and heavy rain. The 3XDRY® repels water and dirt, allowing it to run off the surface, while the interior of the hat absorbs moisture and wicks it away. The quick to dry fabric makes this a new summer must-have for your outdoor adventure. The Polaris Outback has a stowaway sun shield to offer maximum protection for your neck and shoulders all while being UPF50+ rated. It has thick foam in the brim to keep it from flapping in high winds and if you happen to lose it in water, your hat will float. As with most Tilley hats, there is a secret pocket to store your ID or other valuables; along with a velcro tab at the back crown to store your sunglasses when you don't need them.
